Growing up in Niantic, CT, I never thought I would find my other half in Morocco. Well, I didn’t actually find him in Morocco but he is from there. After meeting we found that we were from two very different worlds but seemed to have a whole lot in common and shared the same love for cooking. Out of this came two beautiful children and Tissa’s Market and Café. We pooled our skills together and created the beginning of our dream.
Tissa’s is a bit different than the traditional market and deli. We carry the basic convenience groceries for every home, but if you examine the shelves a little bit closer you will find spices imported from Morocco and Lebanon such as Saffron, Cumin, Ras El Hannout, and Fennel. A little closer yet and you will find Olive Oils from Morocco, Lebanon, and Italy, Argon Oil from Morocco, and a variety of Olives from Italy, Greece, and Morocco, gourmet chocolates, Cookies, Crackers, Coffee and Tea. Tea Pots, Pottery, Mosaics, and Henna Lamps imported from Morocco, are among the many treasures to be found.

The menu at the Deli is a fusion of Moroccan, Mediterranean, and American flavors. We offer the basics such as Ham, Turkey and Roast Beef, but along with these basics we offer a selection of Moroccan and Mediterranean Specialty Sandwiches. Every Friday we feature specialty dishes from the Mediterranean and North Africa. Our Breakfast menu is simple but offers some of the great flavors of North Africa and other places along the Mediterranean.
We proudly serve LAVAZZA coffee and MIGHTY LEAF tea. The Cafe offers up a large variety of specialty drinks, both hot and cold, and homemade desserts.
Our catering menu offers Traditional, Mediterranean, and Moroccan food items. We believe that each party is as unique as its guests and deserves to be treated as such. If the items available on our menu do not seem to cover all of your party's needs we will gladly design a menu that works directly with your theme and budget.
