About Tissa's Le Souk du Maroc
Tissa's Market and Cafe is family-owned and operated right here in Old Saybrook, CT since our company opened its doors in 2005. After five years of business we decided to move our business to a lovely building historically known as the "James Pharmacy Building", located on the corner of Main Street and Pennywise Lane (Old Saybrook, CT).  This building has one of the oldest Ice Cream Soda Fountains still in existence in the United States.  It was installed in 1896 and is still operational.  We incorporated the historic nature of the building in with our market and Tissa's Le Souk du Maroc was born.  Now our Cafe serves Moroccan and Mediterranean soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps, Mediterranean pastries, desserts, ice cream, milk shakes, fruit smoothies, coffee, tea and more.
Our Market includes Mediterranean and Middle eastern confections, spices, olive oils, and more.  We have expanded our bath and body selections and added some Moroccan home accents and other Moroccan and North African hand crafts.
